I’ve been a bit quiet on the blogging front as of late, as I’ve been recovering from body pains and RSI in my hands brought on from my last job, so I thought I’d give you a little life and blog update.
This year was meant to be the year of change. And the first phase went to plan. After years of working a hellish commute, I started working at a company closer to home that I’d interned at in the past. I thought I was finally settled.
Two weeks ago, they told me they didn’t have enough work for me and they were letting me go.
I was hit with a strong gut feeling that I was going to make a success of this. I’d always had various blogs, but when I had my media storm last year, I realised that this was a real passion. Since then I’ve realised a desire to go into fiction writing, and Zey and I have wanted to start a YouTube channel and business together, but to be honest I never really had the time. I felt like perhaps this was happening for a reason, and now was the time to make lemonade out of lemons, use my current free time to give it a crack, and use the life changes as motivation to push forward whatever happens in the future.
Those of you who have been following my blog for a while will have noticed a bit of a mix-up with my content recently. I’d always been more of a dating blogger; I tried writing a fashion and beauty blog for a while but I couldn’t get into it, and dating and relationships is such a fascinating topic. However, I find it’s also a topic that can get quite negative, so it’s probably not beneficial to focus on it too much. I also don’t want my blog to shrivel up and die once I meet My Person, so while I’m still going to do a few dating posts, I’m into the wonderful world of lifestyle blogging, and branching out into topics like the Law of Attraction. Getting into watching related channels on YouTube has really improved my mindset, so I want to pay it forward and do the same for other people. I may look into changing my blog name at some point- particularly as it is also the name of a porn film (oops).
My body pains are finally healing, so it’s time to start the next phase of my life. I’m saying “no more” to friends who don’t value me. I only have time for kind, wonderful people who align with my energy. I have no time for guys who treat me as a back-up option; I want to be someone’s first choice. Go where you’re celebrated, not where you’re tolerated. And blog-wise, I’m going to chase the dream. I’m working hard on improving my content and growing my traffic. I’m researching fiction writing courses so I can get started on my novel. And YouTube plans are in the pipeline. So please, if you have friends who would enjoy my blog show them.
